A Swede in Germany

Blogroll policy

with 3 comments

For the time being, I keep my blogroll divided into three categories:

  1. Links to other content by me: These are recommended as matter of course.
  2. Permanent recommendations, subdivided into separate headings for respectively English, German, and Swedish.
  3. Temporary recommendations: A list of recommendations that seem like a good idea at the time, e.g. because they are insightful, support a noble cause, or are written by an interesting person. This list will be limited to three entries, which means that (once the slots are filled) when a new site is added, another will be removed, usually on a first-in-first-out basis. I stress that such a removal is not a sign of dislike or a worsening of the quality of the site, but just of the wish to give someone else an entry.

Note that II deliberately do not limit myself to blogs in my blogroll. The name is kept for easy recognition only.

    • I am not certain what you mean, but since the question of link exchanges can validly be raised by others too:

I do not currently engage in link exchanges in the form of e.g. blog-roll entries. However, everyone is free to make comments on my posts (adhering to the rules of my comment policy and making even a minor contribution to the discussion), and these comments will contain an automatic back-link from the page in question.

  2. […] To improve matters, I have just added three new links and removed a number of others. Note that the “temporary” section is reduced to one entry, due to the excessive time since the last update. (Normally, it would be fixed at three. Cf. my blogroll policy.) […]
